Among Sinners

After the long years they called the Scarcity, the world didn’t end. It only grew smaller.

When the grids failed and the cities went dark, people learned again to live by the harvest instead of the clock. In the valleys of northern California, the Vyrell vineyard became a place of survival and mercy—a refuge where faith and labor held the world together.

Among Sinners is a cycle of modern parables set in that reborn landscape. It follows two brothers—Alaric, the dutiful heir who confuses virtue with control, and Micah, the prodigal who runs from shame into grace. Around them move those caught in their wake: a father shaped by mercy, a woman whose unanswered prayers awaken something dark, and a world still haunted by the idols it thought it buried.

Inspired by Scripture’s timeless parables—The Prodigal Son, The Good Samaritan, The Pearl of Great Price, The Sower of the Seed—these stories explore what remains of faith after the world has burned and begun again. In the silence that follows collapse, every soul must choose: repentance, or ruin.
